  POLIANGOLAR - How it works

The tool spindle is mounted in the attachment's body with a specific angular orientation to give the tool a 'hunt' motion during rotation.  Prior to the broaching operation, a pre-hole should be drilled having a slightly smaller diameter than the internal form for a regular polygon, in the case of an irregular polygon, a pre-slot should be formed.

Holes of different size and shape can be successfully cut by simply replacing the cutting tools, which will have the same section as the desired profile.  The attachment is supplied with a lever which should be used whenever the polygonal slots require a particular angular position.  The POLIANGOLAR is so simple to use because no templates or fixtures are required for it's efficient operation.
