Shim Material Specification

Our shim feeler gauge stock and calibrated shim steel is manufactured from high quality alloys.

We have six alloys available to suit most applications, namely:-

Hardened and tempered Shim in High Carbon Steel 1.1274 (AISI 1095)

Hardened and tempered Shim in Stainless Tool Steel 1.4034 (1.2083), (AISI 420)

Temper rolled Shim in Stainless Steel 1.4310 (AISI 301)

Stainless Steel Shim in 1.4404 and 1.4571 (AIS 316L and 316Ti)

Temper rolled Brass Shim in 2.0321, (CuZn 37 / ASTM 27 200)

We can also supply shim in carbon steel such as DIN Ck 75 (1.1248) and Din Ck 85 (1.1269) as well as stainless steels such as 1.4301 (AISI 304 and 1.4404 (AISI 316L).
