Unhardened, hardenable spring steel strip, mat no 1.1248

With a carbon content of 0.75%, material 1.1248 is frequently used as an alloy for springs.

In an unhardened state, this steel is very easy to stamp and form, however it must then be hardened

to achieve a high tensile strength and hardness.
